I accidentally found this place when I had a minor issue and was looking for a close-by auto repair shop. When I called to inquire about a drop-in for assessment, I got the friendliest, most pleasant customer experience I could recall. It turned out that my problem that day was simply a lodged rock that made a horrendous sound, but I honestly had fun bringing the car in because the staff at Portland Motor Works actually care about the relationship they build with customers. I went back when I needed an oil-change and inspection, a process performed efficiently and thoroughly with no unnecessary frills. Last week, I called for guidance when I noticed steam escaping from under the hood. It proved to be a coolant leak. Mandy generously walked me through getting the car safely into the shop, and within a day the offending flange was identified, repaired, and my car was ready for pick-up. The cost of repair was a pittance due to careful inspection and identification of the issue. I can't say that I'm excited about auto repairs, but it sure takes the sting out when the Portland Motor Works team is on the job. I am grateful to have found them!
