PMW is the place to go for BMW maintenance! They were less expensive, faster and more personable than any of the BMW dealerships I've gone to. I also appreciate they deliver on a high level of quality with the work they do. I'll be going back to Portland Motor Works for all of maintenance needs.

If my BEEMER could talk it would cheer when I say it's time to go see Portland Motor Works! Well maybe it is me that enjoys the whole experience with Niles and crew! From arrival to departure I'm treated with value, respect and friendliness. I trust their work and explanations of work to be done. So glad I found them! Got a BEEMER? I brought my Aunts car in for a diagnosis to see what it needed to pass DEQ. They did a full diagnostic test and even a full examination of the vehicle and listed everything that they found that need repair along with photos of the issues. They did not take her for a ride or try to create false issues in order to make money off of her as they know she is on a limited income. I would recommend using this shop over any shop in Portland because they are honest and will not take advantage of you. The staff are all friendly, with the exception of the dog can get a little cranky sometimes, otherwise, a wonderful atmosphere.

Portland Motor Works was recommended by German Automotive Service & Repair (where I got my oil changed on a few occasions - parents live in that area). Owner said he no longer worked on BMWs and suggested Niles Todd (owner of PMW). I took my BMW Z3 in and since October 2021 have both maintenance and some recommended repair work performed. The entire team at PMW makes me feel that I am in good hands. They explain their recommendations, answer my questions, work with my schedule, provide a loaner car, provide clear repair orders (with photos), and stand behind their work. They recently went above and beyond as the suggested work was required due to poor work performed by a "chain shop" while I lived in Seattle area. Niles and his team went to bat for me and helped arrange for & inspect the repair work (performed by the local chain shop) since it was under warranty. In this instance - there was nothing in it for them - they simply care about taking care of their customers. I am so appreciative of Kevin from GAS&R for his recommendation - when I found a automative service and repair shop with well-trained mechanics, postive and helpful office staff, and an owner who goes the extra mile - I have confidence that both me and my Z3 are being treated well. If you are looking for a company that does great work and stands behind it - check out Portland Motor Works - it is worth the drive!

Niles, Andre, and the rest of the crew here are amazing. I have never been to a shop that treats their customers more valued. On top of that, they are very thorough and not pushy. I had a 2018 M3 go through a post-purchase inspection and they uncovered some terrible problems. It had a check engine light that lead to an air leak through a failing crank seal. It's a big repair job. The dealer is the issue here, PMW is great! Photo is of the exact car (loaded on my old trailer).
