About Portland Motor Works
Portland Motor Works was founded in 2014 by Niles Todd after more than 35 years’ experience in the luxury European automotive industry.
As a teenager, Niles discovered his passion for European cars and has since never wavered. He began his professional career in his home state of Texas attaining master technician status from Jaguar of North America. In 1991, he relocated to Portland where he gained valuable experience working in respected BMW dealerships and independent shops before opening PMW as a way to serve clients in a more personal environment while providing the highest level of quality and service.
His credentials include factory-trained Level 1 BMW Master Technician, certified Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Technician with additional advanced level certifications. In addition, he is a member of local, regional and national trade organizations. PMW is certified by the Department of Environmental Quality as an EcoBiz automotive repair facility. In addition, all technicians servicing your vehicle are Advanced Level Master Certified. We also use the latest software and specialty tools when diagnosing and working on your BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, or MINI.
Niles recognizes the value of continuing education and actively participates in on-going training both for himself and staff. He serves on the advisory board of the Mt. Hood Community College automotive program where he mentors future technicians.
In efforts to help promote our profession, PMW is committed to the continuing education our employees and also serves as a training ground for Mt Hood community college's automotive import apprenticeship program. We are proud to sponsor Anthony Moran and Dallas Lyons as they pursue their degrees in the automotive arts.
PMW is proud to serve the Portland area community. We welcome you to our shop.
