Nothing to complain about here. 1st time and VERY satisfied!

The staff went above and beyond for me. I had a horrible experience before coming here and they made me feel comfortable and at ease. I knew my car was in good hands. They now have a customer for life.

Mandy and Niles were most welcoming to my breakdown while traveling through Portland. They did a diagnostics overview to my transmission, unfortunately the damage present to the 2003 197k miles 525i wagon was beyond the value of correction. Niles inquired with my BMW mechanic back in Denver to confirm the love loss of the wagon. The PMW team was supportive, helpful and comforting with end-of-life to a 13yr good run of many miles, road trips and 3 high schoolers.

New to Portland, so I’ve been searching for a BMW shop to bring my car to. I was due for an oil change, and the dealership had stated I needed my front brakes replaced when I was last there. I spoke with Niles over the phone and he gave me a rough estimate, but said I’d really have to bring it in to get a proper evaluation. He was able to get me in the next day, and they did a full inspection of my car before doing any work. I was provided with a detailed report of some concerns and routine maintenance for the car. It turned out I still had some life to my front brakes and there really wasn’t a need to replace them just yet (also the quote was much more reasonable than the dealership). The evaluation showed an urgent issue with my serpentine belt and tensioner. They had all parts on hand and were able to repair the issue the next day. What I really liked was that Niles took the time to go over everything they discovered in the report and he explained how it impacts the car/how urgent it was to fix. There was no pressure to do any of the repairs they had suggested, but it was nice to be made aware of the upcoming issues. Mandy was sure to keep me updated on the progress with my car as well. The level of care this shop puts into your car is superb. Bonus kudos for having the inside and outside of my car detailed when I picked it up. They truly convinced me to come back next time I need work done.

PMW is the place to go for BMW maintenance! They were less expensive, faster and more personable than any of the BMW dealerships I've gone to. I also appreciate they deliver on a high level of quality with the work they do. I'll be going back to Portland Motor Works for all of maintenance needs.

If my BEEMER could talk it would cheer when I say it's time to go see Portland Motor Works! Well maybe it is me that enjoys the whole experience with Niles and crew! From arrival to departure I'm treated with value, respect and friendliness. I trust their work and explanations of work to be done. So glad I found them! Got a BEEMER? Ditch the dealer and try this local small business!

I brought my Aunts car in for a diagnosis to see what it needed to pass DEQ. They did a full diagnostic test and even a full examination of the vehicle and listed everything that they found that need repair along with photos of the issues. They did not take her for a ride or try to create false issues in order to make money off of her as they know she is on a limited income. I would recommend using this shop over any shop in Portland because they are honest and will not take advantage of you. The staff are all friendly, with the exception of the dog can get a little cranky sometimes, otherwise, a wonderful atmosphere.
