After both BMW dealerships spent litterally 1000's of dollars, (luckily not mine) trying to fix a rough idle on a nearly brand new 535i, Niles and his team got my car running the way it should for next to nothing compared to dealership pricing. I am glad I have found PMW!!!!

Thanks for the kind words Brandon. No let’s tackle the shifting issue.

I was having complicated and unusal electrical and cooling system issues with my 1999 BMW e36. These guys are great at what they do. Trustworthy, communicative, very professional, and very skilled technicians. The owner even took his daughters e36 apart to test a possibility faulty part on my car. Not many shops would do that. It shows they really care about their customers. I have peace of mind knowing I have an amazing shop to take my car to if I have any other issues.

Thanks for the kind words Johnny! It was our pleasure working with you.

Did not actually get work done here, but called about getting work done and was very impressed with the customer service! The gentleman kindly explained that their Mercedes specialist was out for health reasons, so they could not take on the repair job. Without even having to ask he went on to make a suggestion for a repair shop that specializes in Mercedes and does good work (I verified this by looking up reviews). I have often found that a place that prides itself in customer service also prides itself in all other aspects. Thank you Portland Motor Works for being so helpful!

Niles is not only a powerhouse of German engineering knowledge, but he is also a truly wonderful business owner. He answers all of my many questions with patience and detail. He treats my car like he loves it as much as I do. He is honest with me about repairs that I do or don't need to have done. I'm so grateful to have found him to take care of my BMW so I'm not at the mercy of the dealership. I'll never take my car anywhere else.

Excellent customer service! Niles is very knowledgeable and honest to his customers. Although I only got a diagnostic the price was reasonable and he NEVER put pressure on me to perform any work and they even checked my tires for free! Amazing people definitely will be back if i need a repair!

Amazing service. Started taking my BMWs here after I finally realized I was being raked over the coals by the dealer and that it wasn't worth the convenience to continue using them. Googled BMW repair and, based on reviews, called Niles at Portland Motor Works when the air conditioning went out on my X5 - when I spoke with him he explained what he thought the problem was and his explanation was almost verbatim what I was told by a very good friend of mine who knows a ton about cars, so that immediately established a level of trust. He fixed my car for about a quarter of what I was going to be charged by BMW. When I took my Z3 in for a service, Niles let me know they'd found a problem and gave me the price on it and I authorized him to fix it. He called back later to tell me that once they'd dug into the engine, they realized they'd made a mistake and it was something else and the new price to fix it was about $300 less than what he'd quoted. I don't think I have ever in my life and a mechanic tell me that they'd made a mistake and then charged me less. My Z3 had some damage to the bumper that I wanted to fix without involving my insurance company so I asked Niles about it. He not only recommended a place called Lents Body Shop, got the estimate for me, which was extremely reasonable and he then dropped my car off there and made the arrangements for the repair, all i had to do was pick it up when it was ready. Turns out that Lents also has quality customer service and workmanship.

OK well was having a problem with my X5 key remote. Niles told me how to reprogram it on the phone and it works great! Will be taking my car there for service from now on. Nice guy and excellent mechanic!

Niles and the rest of the staff at Portland Motor Works are true professionals offering expedient, quality service at reasonable rates. Portland Motor Works has done amazing work on everything from transmission service to replacing a cabin fan for my car's heating & cooling system. Their honesty is awesome: they're helping me monitor a slow leak on my car's engine to decide if a seal needs replacing rather than immediately concluding that work must be performed. Likewise, Niles has never failed to explain to me the specific steps he's undertaken and show me damage to failed & replaced parts. In early 2016, I switched my car's routine service from Accurate Motorworks in Vancouver to Niles' shop after the former recommended I spend $300 to have my headlight lenses cleared (B.S.!). I couldn't be happier with my decision.
