Both Emily and Abby were really nice in greeting me and making sure everything was taken care of paperwork wise. Niles was super nice and was making sure I understood what was wrong with my car. I would highly recommend coming here if you have a BMW thats having issues

Amazing experience all around - The most low pressure, honest experience I've had at an auto mechanic. Every issue discovered was clearly explained, pictures provide and options given to accept or decline each repair via an online site. Prices are never 'cheap' for most European car repairs however the quotes we received seem very fair and less than we were fearing. Niles explained each issue, showed us the damaged parts and was transparent with what was needed now verse what we should plan to fix in the future/near future. They're also super flexible with after hours drop off/pick ups - We plan on bringing our car here for any other issues we have and can't recommend them enough.

I can't speak highly enough of my experience at PMW recently for my 2011 Mini Cooper that's been giving me a hard time lately. I ended up having my husband book the appointment and take it in because I've unfortunately had some bad experiences with car shops and I feel it was due to the fact that I'm a woman without much knowledge about cars. However, PMW totally changed my perspective on how honest, kind, and transparent auto shops can be! After the initial inspection on my car, they emailed us a comprehensive breakdown of all of the many issues and included itemized costs for each repair including the breakdown of parts and labor as well as an explanation for each repair. They also called my husband and walked through the issues point by point, answering any and all questions we had and even helped us understand each issue in order of importance. They didn't pressure us into any of the repairs and were completely understanding of the reality of our financial limitations. We opted for one in-shop repair and decided that the rest we are going to try to do ourselves, and again, they made us feel comfortable and unjudged with that decision. When it came time to pick up my car, I felt comfortable interacting with them shop at this point, knowing that they were friendly and didn't make me feel uncomfortable without my husband. The two folks that I saw were unbelievably kind, and even made a point to chat with me for a while and met my dog that I brought with me! Truly a phenomenal experience and I absolutely cannot recommend PMW enough. They got us in next day for my appointment and made me feel like a priority throughout the entire process. I am so glad that I ended up trusting them with my business and I will not hesitate to bring my car back there in the future.

We've had a mysterious short circuit in our BMW X3, and after taking our car to three other shops who could not fix the problem, Portland motorworks completely understood the problem and fixed it in one visit. They didn't try to oversell any of their services and they were very upfront with all of the details of what they were doing and what they found. Ive been a customer of Portland Motor Works for a little over a year and have had a few oil changes and some more extensive work done. Each time Ive come in or even just called with questions I say to everyone who will listen I just love these guys, they are all just genuinely good people. And its the truth.
