Niles and the rest of the staff at Portland Motor Works are true professionals offering expedient, quality service at reasonable rates. Portland Motor Works has done amazing work on everything from transmission service to replacing a cabin fan for my car's heating & cooling system. Their honesty is awesome: they're helping me monitor a slow leak on my car's engine to decide if a seal needs replacing rather than immediately concluding that work must be performed. Likewise, Niles has never failed to explain to me the specific steps he's undertaken and show me damage to failed & replaced parts. In early 2016, I switched my car's routine service from Accurate Motorworks in Vancouver to Niles' shop after the former recommended I spend $300 to have my headlight lenses cleared (B.S.!). I couldn't be happier with my decision.

Nothing but good things to say about PMW and Niles. I've been in a couple times with random / strange issues, and Niles has always been able to figure out the root cause and fix the issue, or recommend how I can fix it on my own. PMW is more than fair with their pricing and shop costs, and I always leave happy.

All I can say is going to Portland Motors Works was one of the best auto repair experiences I have ever had. Niles and his guys know these vehicles so well and care about their work. They are friendly and walk you through everything without a rush. Honest, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. Traits like this are so hard to find in a mechanic but you get those with Niles. If you really care about your car and want great service, Portland Motor Works is your new auto repair shop.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Nile helped me find the problem I was hearing and gave me a really reasonable price for fixing it. I've been to a lot of different shops in the Portland area and this is by far the best. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Excellent communication during every step of the way. Really nice people and a great place to get your car serviced.

I just recently purchased my BMW , and along with that the previous owners handed me a card with Niles' information on it. I was worried about changing to a different mechanic from one that I have been going to for years to the previous owners choice mechanic. Absolutely ZERO regrets!! Niles explained what had happened to my car and what would need fixing. Thier prices are extremely fair, they dont try and convince you to fix a 500 dollar part that does not even need replacing. You can tell they are not a liars or cheaters. I can not rave enough about how amazing Niles and his crew are! I highly recommend Portland Motor Works inc, they have just gained a lifer here for sure
